LEDs are an LED (Light Emitting Diode) light source with the lowest energy requirements and a long service life, stated by the manufacturer in the range from 50,000 to 100,000 hours.

LEDs are more than 40 years old, yet they have made tremendous technical progress in the last few years. Today’s LEDs are unique in their flexibility. They offer a large selection of angles, radiant light colors , light efficiency and it is clear that development will continue to move forward quickly.

RGB introduction

The red-green-blue model is used in color mixing imaging devices. Red, green and blue are the basic colors, from which any other color can be mixed.

The figure below shows how such mixing takes place. Shades are created by adding a number of individual primary colors. In addition to RGB LED strips and light bulbs, this principle is used, for example, in computer monitors and televisions. An RGB LED strip or light bulb can therefore display any color.

Example : To display a pure blue color, the blue LED will light up to the maximum, gradually adding the brightness of the red color will turn the blue color into purple. For other colors, this principle works similarly.
